Space Shuttle Challenger

Space Shuttle Challenger was NASA's second Space Shuttle orbiter to be put into service, after Columbia. It was constructed using a body frame that had initially been built as a test article.

Challenger was destroyed in the second minute of STS-51-L, the orbiter's tenth mission, on January 28, 1986. All seven crew members died.
