Mars

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the most Earth-like planet in our Solar System. This planet has a very thin atmosphere (95% carbon dioxide, 3% nitrogen, 1.6% argon). Mars is 53% of the diameter of the Earth. It has some of the tallest volcanoes and some of the deepest valleys in our Solar System. Its surface is composed mostly of rock. Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Mariner 4 was the first spacecraft to visit Mars (1965).
