Vostok 1 was the first human spaceflight. It took the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin into space.
Gagarin orbited the Earth once (in 108 minutes) and returned safely ejecting from the Vostok capsule.
Vostok 6 carried the first woman into space, cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova.
